configuring a large batch of autorouter jobs?

Hi All,

  What I'd like to know is how to configure eagle to run a huge batch of autorouter variants (I'm thinking 1000's here) with many combinations of preferred directions & costs in an effort to reduce the via count of manually soldered boards.

The "autorouter main setup" and "routing variants dialogue" in eagle don't seem to offer any way to do this, are these dialogues configurable?  If not, can this functionality be driven by a script or ULP? If so, Does anyone have a good example i can use or adapt?

    It seems loading in more than about 45 optimisation passes results in a corrupt .brd file, however, deleting all but a few of the optimisiation passes in the brd file fixes this!

      So far I've managed to save a hole lot of drilling & via-ing just by doing this.  The process is still very tiresome, but at least the autorotuter seems to at least have a chance to do a better job..

    I've attached my optimisation file as .txt, so delete the .txt at then end to load it into the dialogue.  Also select auto & auto for the dirns & auto-grid to let eagle do its 22 combos

      It'd still be great to know how to script this..
