PCB mounted Heat Sink

I am working on a board that uses a vertical heat sink (Aavid 531102B0)

that has pins to mount it to the board. I can make a PCB footprint

(package) for it, but I'm not sure how to add it to the board, since it

won't have a schematic equivalent. How do I do this?

You could always give it a schematic symbol. The symbol doesn't need any

pins (unless you want to be able to connect the heatsink to ground). I'd

suggest placing it on the schematic somewhere near the component that's

mounted on the heatsink, perhaps with a bit of text saying "TR3 mounted

    on heatsink".
