Show and zoom??

Former Member
Former Member over 14 years ago

It's really hard to find a component the way my system is setup. If I do

a "show R44" it will highlight it but the display isn't focused on the

part. I then have to zoom out to show the whole schematic and then I

can't see the highlighted part. I have to zoom in and then slowly pan

across using the two scroll bars until I happen upon the part.

Someone told me he thought there was a ulp or some other function that

would allow you to actually find a part quickly. I have spent 30 minutes

or so looking thru the postings here but didn't see this topic.

Any help appreciated. Rob

I'm still on V4.16 so this may be a V5 issue as some of the relevant

commands like SHOW behave slightly differently.

Could a V5 user verify find.ulp does centre and zoom to the part and then

present the dialog (which needs to be acknowledged)

I don't know, but I'm on 4.16r2 and I have a confirm dialog as well.

I figured out how to get rid of the acknowledgment requirement. Just

edit ulpmessage.ulp and dump the one line that pops up the window.

Didn't have to do anything to exp-project-lbr.ulp.

Again, thanks to all that have helped me out here.

    Regards, Rob
