Attributes

I am using Eagle 5.11 and I cannot get Attributes to work the way the

manual explains it.  How are Global Attributes used?  I want to have a

Revision Number appear on all frames in all sheets.  How is this done?

  • It's quite easy to set a global attribute to cross all sheets in the schematic, add a attribute to the library part using ">XXX" where XXX is your defined attribute name.  Then when you use this part on the schematic use the drop down menu edit/global attributes to engter your new attribute name with an associated value, this is then carried across all the sheets where the library part is used.

     

    The problem I've had is that the same attribute does not carry across on to the board, but that's another posting.....
