Devices on Schematic, but not on PCB

How can I have devices on the schematic diagram, but not on the PCB ?

 

On my schematic I want to draw some devices who are external to the PCB,

essentially to have the complete thing on the same diagram. Some of the

devices are external to the PCB. What do I have to do for Eagle to know

about that and not to insist the I place an route them ?

  • I know this is an old post, but I'm facing exactly the same situation:  I'd like to include parts in my schematic that are external to the board.  Here's one more vote for adding a less arcane facility than having to replicate and modify lib parts with no pins or package.
