I'm trying to generate a CAM output and preview it before submitting to PCB
manufacturer. I read the recommended Al Williams book.
I'm using ViewMate to preview the files.
All the layers are OK, except the drills.
I found this topic that seems to solve the issue (haven't tried):
http://www.eaglecentral.ca/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=17274&S=a61937e116c7338a6f333b00d2f75ac6
It seems that the problem are the leading zeros that ViewMate needs.
But I'm confused, the point of previewing the files is to ensure that the
manufacturer will understand them. Maybe if I change the .def file the
manufacturer will have problems ?
So my questions are:
What format should I use to generate/preview the drills to avoid problems ?
Could you please point me to a tutorial about excellon files ?
