Internet request whenever Eagle is launched

If you prefer you could switch off these checks. Go to the menu

Help/Check for Update and set it to "never".

That should be the default.  I really don't like it doing automatic stuff

behind my back, especially going outside my network, unless I explicity

gave it permission to do so.

We have enough nagware and nannyware all around us as is.  Please not Eagle

too.
