Cannot backannotate VIA

Hi,

I added a via (which came up square instead of round ??) to a board, now I cannot remove it as I get 'cannot backannotate this operation. Please do this in the schematic!'.

Well I added it on the board layout editor and there is NO visible via on the schematic :-O.

Please advise how I am supposed to remove this unwanted item ??.

You can't DELETE a via, but you can RIPUP it.
See the manual or the built-in help.
