HELP PLS, updating board from modified sche matic

(schematic AND board) open at the same time. Working with only ONE

board from the schematic??

No. Once consistency is destroyed, you are on your own and need to

correct everything manually. But one CAN do it manually - even if it's a

pain somewhere:

  1. The ERC displays lots of inconsistencies telling you what is

     missing on the board, what is connected to different signals,

     etc.

  2. Look at EVERY SINGLE inconsistency and either retrace your steps

     in the schematic, or add signals in the board, or do whatever is

     necessary.

  3. Sometimes one problem may be displayed as several inconsistencies,

     so the number of actual problems might be smaller than shown by

     the ERC.

  4. After EACH change, run an ERC again and look whether that

     problem has been solved. If not, try again.

Unfortunately, EAGLE does NOT show any warning in case one continues

working with only ONE window, so one can only prevent inconsistencies

(and ruined projects) by REALLY paying attention.

In the next version we will have an indicator in the GUI to let you know

when consistency is broken.

Won-der-ful. That should mean much less crippled projects from our

students who just start layouting and don't know EAGLE too much.
