Strange thing like "connector" in a trace

Hi,

 

Please see the attached image.  I don't know what that strange thing

(red rectangular-oval thing with lines crossed in it) in the trace.

Even after I rig-up the trace, that thing is still there.  I want to

remove it, but I can't.  It is causing an error when I do DRC check.

 

Please advise.

    Does the DRC check error give you any clues about the problem?   It

    looks like you have an abrupt change in trace width in the middle of a

    run.   Perhaps the little segment is below the minimum width for the

    design rules?
