Expanded lock feature

I'd like to be able to lock such things as board dimensions, specific

traces, drill holes, pads and polygons. Locking the board dimension wires

would be a great help if nothing else.

  • I agree, this would be great,

     

     

    as a suggestion, I made a part for a M3 screw/hole and silk, so that I can

    easily place these on my board, It also shows which side to fasten on, and

    a keep out area,The silk has a small detail of an actual screw head. By

    using a part for this you can lock it in place, it also appears on your

    bill of materials!

     

    I agree that board outline, holes and other NON-PART items need to be

    locked .

     

     

    another option that would be great is a group feature, so that you can

    select any number of objects and then group them, give it an optional name

    , and then that group can be locked, or better yet just treat it as any

    other object.

    Im looking for same feature: Locking any object. I couldent beleive that it was just implemented for components only and was trying and trying over and over again to lock outline and drills... Outline and drills are the first things that you want to lock.

     

    When can we espect to find this feature implemented for all object types?

    I have my outlines and drills as components, so I can lock them. A pcb as a

    physical component has several advantages, like appearing in the BOM.
