HEEEEEEELP PANIC Cant open board from project

e14 Contributor
e14 Contributor over 14 years ago

This week I upgraded from version 5.11 to 6.00 .

Yesterday I saved a project , schematic and board, but now after opening the

schematic again I get a error.

In a different window it says:

Loading

C:/Users/h.arends/Documents/Eagle/projects/Turntable/Arduino_Nano_V020.brd

...

Error:

line 1308, column 286: Unexpected ''.

If this means that I have to redo that complete board again No Thanks

version 6

Any suggestions how to solve this problem

    I just did some investigation.

Opened a version 5.11 project using version 6

Saved it under a different name

Then I close the Schematic window.

Then I observe that on top of the board window suddenly a Black/Yellow

ribbon appears saying F/B Annotation has been severed

Then I close that window also.

When I open the schematic again........

see: "V6 F/B Annotation has been Severed" from 3 days ago.

It's just a warning. It will only turn into a problem if you change

something in the window that has been left opened.

Strange that the warning says "f/b annotation HAS BEEN severed". I should

think that at least that must be: "Warning: f/b annotation could be

severed if you close the schematic window"

    (not using V6 myself, yet)

I have seen the subject mentioned.

But my problem is NOT the same.

I did made alterations on the design and whilst saving I got the message.

After that opening the schematic and board, the schematic opens correct but

the board doesn’t open but shows a text message as stated.

I went back to a backup and redone the whole design yesterday, one Sunday

    with the family gone.

So as I have paid for an update to the new version I keep on working in

version 5.11 unless I got a answer from Cadsoft.

I've got a similar problem, when trying to open an existing schematic from 5.11 version. An error message appears, see below, and no sch will be opened. Strange kind of message, in the whole project there isn't any package DKONT5 5F.

Wee need a working fix at this stage, because we want to transfer our projects to the new version of course. Or would you recommend to use the 5.11 until the 6.1 is stable ?
