that suite, so I just don't know).

Obviously I see it. But it's of absolutely no use. Either its width is

made small enough so that I still see the document: Then all TOC entries

times: The PDF file already contains a DECENT table of contents inside

the document, which needs neither, so it's the best thing I have, and I

want to use it.

For experienced guys, the TOC at the left might be useful - they know

already roughly where to find what. For people who DON'T know the

software, the TOC at the left doesn't help too much. I agree it's better

than nothing, but decent links would be a billion times nicer.

Don't think like programmers: "We provided a table of contents, so that

should be enough for everybody." Think like a new user: "I just want the

information right now, without the necessity of a thousand clicks. Of

course I could do a full-text search, but I don't know exactly WHAT to

search for, because I don't know how the author CALLS the stuff that I

call so-and-so. Better to browse through the table of contents and try

to get some idea."

Just SOMEHOW providing a certain function is NOT enough for software

nowadays (20 years ago, it was). It should also be EASY for the user.

Therefore: Try to include links INSIDE the document. They're REALLY useful.
