I'm not sure if cadsoft has implemented the copy/paste for sch+layout at
last.
I'm talking about duplicate a section of a schematic without loose the
placement and routing information.
Reading through the new features doesn't help me.
Do we still need to do the nasty workaround of closing schematic and
capture one at time to fool the fb annotation?

It seems it doesn't work anymore. It messes up the part names and it
takes too long to rename manually each component.
I hope I didn't waste my money again 
The possibility to reuse my layout is why I upgraded to V6. By the way
it has a lot of bugs, why?

You can try the Renumber Sheet ULP and start the renumbering at 100, 200, or
whatever is necessary to insure that there is no overlap of designators. You
still have to close and open the files just as before (and keep your fingers
crossed).
I haven't tried this with ver.6 but it worked with ver.5 when I needed to
combine two projects into one PCB.
