Hi

When is the next version of Eagle released? I guess that there will be a

bug-fix release... is that correct??

Best regards,

    Hi Gustav,

The next update of EAGLE will definitely be a bug-fix release. I don't

have an ETA on it yet.

My installation has crashed so many times in the past couple of days... I

feel like a crash test dummy. Eagle 510 was stable. Version 6.0 not so much.

    ;(

My installation has crashed so many times in the past couple of

days... I feel like a crash test dummy. Eagle 510 was stable. Version

    6.0 not so much. ;(

If I upgrade to 6, will I be able to run 5 while waiting for a 6 bug fix

    to be released?

    Thanks

    Thanks

You should  make use of the -new- ability to have seperate eaglerc.usr files

for different installations. You can supposedly either rename the v6 erc

file or else locate the file in a different location, thus continuing to use

v5 and not have v6 interact with it by writing to a single eaglerc.usr

file - as was previously the case.

I failed in my attempt to rename v6 erc file and run it from the 'default'

location, however I was able to successfully force a new location for the v6

    file eaglerc.usr.

Read the Update notes and v6 manual, and search on "-U" and you will find

the (scant) documentation for this feature.

Look for my recent complaint in the suggestions forum and you will be able

to read the same helpful hints that I used for figuring out how to run v5

    and v6 side-by-side.
