New Restrict Layer

Hi all,

 

I am currently laying out a four layer PCB and need a large flood plain for heat purposes so need to use the maximum area of the board I can. but due to clearance and creepage distances with via's, drawing lots of flood plains to accomodate the various clearances needed isn't really viable (see what I did there?)

My thought was instead to draw a restrict boundry around the components in the library editor but there is only restrict layers for Top and Bottom.

 

So my question is, how can I create a restrict layer that corresponds to one of my new layers?

 

Just in case you're wondering, I need the two restrict layers as well as another one so I can't just change one.

    I feel you are approaching this wrongly.

    Have you reviewed the manual, Section 6.3."Defining a Copper Plain with

    POLYGON"
