Magnetic attach while manually routing

Hello

There seems to be a problem in v6.1 Layout Editor. The mechanism for

automatically attaching a track to a near pad or track frequently does

not work even when very close. I have noticed that when the problem

occurs, if I undo the track which I have just laid and then try again

then the mechanism usually works fine.  It is as though something is

being disabled.

A second similar but possibly unrelated problem occurs in the Schematic

Editor. When a component is Cut into the Past buffer and then Pasted so

that it has a terminal end on the end of an existing wire the terminal

fails to join to the wire.  However if a similar operation is performed

using the Copy command then the component terminal joins correctly.

Regards

Stephen Dickinson

Yes, I confirm this behavior. In my experience the join will fail

because the component is moved away if it has one or more pin on the end

of existing wire. You have to select again the component(s) and move

another time at the desired position.

I'm going to try the beta.... sigh

    Marco

This is a really irritating bug, when will the fix be released?

This is a known issue which Cadsoft has said is fixed in Beta 6.1.1 --

the "in V6.0.0 manual routing got really hard" thread has more details

about the bug.  Hopefully this beta will be released soon.

I can't shed any light on your second problem, though.
