Use Improvements?

New user, so maybe I'm missing something.  But I would like to have these:

On most tools, once you select the tool and use it, a left click on a new item repeats the tool.  Would be nice if Properties worked this way.

For library maintenance, you can't remove a device, package or symbol unless you have that item open.  Would be nice to be able to delete anything without opening it first.

Would be nice to have a "Repeat" button so some operation on one item can be repeated on another.  A simple example is VALUE.

    Hi Dave,

A couple of points need to be corrected.

In the libraries as long as you have the library open, going Library->

Remove allows you to remove anything as long as you know it's name; the

specific package, device, or symbol need not be open. So lets say you

have device called test you want to delete but you're working on a

package, you don't have to open the device. Just go Library-> Remove,

then in the little dialog that pops up type:

    test.dev and press enter

A repeat button is unnecessary since most of EAGLE's commands work this

way. If you click on the VALUE icon it will stay active until you press

escape or select another command. While the command is active you can

just left click on each component and alter it's value one by one.

Thank you for your suggestions and we hope that you continue to enjoy

    working with EAGLE.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia

elaborating on that: invoking a for instance a change or value command

via the command line lets you modifiy part attributs by clicking in

them until you abort the command or enter/select a new one.
