Hi,
I just lost about 4 hours of work from last night because my files
weren't saved when I closed Eagle. I have Auto Save Interval set to 5
min.and Automatically Save Project File set. These functions either are
not working, or I don't understand what they do. Here are some
questions that I can't find an answer to in the manual.
1) If the number of backup files are set to 9, and you have filled the
9 slots, what happens next? Does Eagle write over the old backups or
just stop autobacking up. In my case Eagle stopped autobacking the
files.
2) If a backup file is generated, is the active file also saved?
3) If Automatically Save Project File is set, does this save the board
and schematic files? In my case this definitely did not happen.
4) If a file is changed (schematic, library, or board) is it marked as
"dirty" and will Eagle generate a dialog asking to save the file when
the file is being closed? This seems to happen erratically. Sometimes
yes, sometimes no.
