Hi I am new to Eagle!

Hi I am new to Eagle. I want to start using it. I am doing a project that uses the PIC18F66K80 to write/read to the FM25V05 FRAM by Cypress. The PIC will also communicate via UART with the C329 camera

module. It will also communicate with a PC via UART and will also utilize the CAN interface.

I have seen that Eagle don't have PIC18F66K80. How do I create it in the library? I want also to create the FM25V05. From where do I start? Please give me some support.

Thanks.

Start by looking in the doc directory below Eagle's installation

directory.  On Linux, this is typically /opt/eagle-6.5.0/doc.

In that directory you will find tutorial_en.pdf and

manual_en.pdf .  The tutorial has a section describing exactly what

    you're trying to do.

In summary, you need to create your own private library.  Next, create a

symbol for the PIC.  Then, you need to create at least one package for

the PIC.  A suitable SMD package /may/ be found// in smd-ipc.lbr, from

which you can copy into your library (see "HELP COPY").  And finally you

need to create a device for the PIC.  The device is what associates the

symbol with the package.  Most microcontrollers can be purchased in

different packages (DIP, QFP, PLCC, etc.).  To accommodate this, you can

optionally create and add additional packages to a device, giving each

    package its own suffix.

Once that is done, go back to your schematic, and USE the library you

just created, and ADD the device to the schematic, choosing an

appropriate package.  If the library changes after it's in the

schematic's USE list, use the UPDATE tool to reflect the changes into

    your schematic and board.
