Annoying behavior of renumber-sheet.ulp

Hi,

I'm talking about the renumber-sheet.ulp, which by default is now also

accessible via menu item (Eagle V6.60/Script V5.0.1)

I really like it, but one annoying issue is: I have a project with

several sheets, and renumber the parts so that the hundreds of part

number reflect sheet number e.g. 1xx sheet 1, 2xx sheet 2 and so on.

I have manually renamed several connectors which were with the device

name prefixing as "X" (some Wago clamps from a downloaded lib), e.g.

when you place the part on an empty schematic it will show up as X1, I

renamed it manually to lets say ST2.

I also added my connectors from my library, which always start with

prefix "ST" so you will end up placing it as ST1 and so on.

When I now renumber my project, I expect my ST1 renamed to ST100 and the

manually renamed ST2 to ST101.

What happens is, I end up with ST101 and X101.

Why does the ULP even dare to touch any prefix?

I'm aware of this "Do not renumber parts with Prefixes (separated

by';')" Textfield, but that would not help me as I WANT my ST1,ST2,ST3

renamed to ST101,ST102 etc.

Why does the ULP not split up Prefix and Number of each part and just

changes the numerical part?

Can someone please fix this? It will take me an hour to rename all my

connectors now (large project)

Markus
