SMD package for capacitors 1206 bigger than 1608

Hi,

Someone can explain me why when i check the size of SMD 1206 is more bigger than SMD 1608. I don't understand because normally it's the countrary. I use the rcl library.

Hi,

You appear to be comparing the 'Metric' and 'Imperial' designations of two
parts, which is leading to some confusion. See this description:

Thank you. I search the dimensions of a SMD package to create my new one. I try to understand which tolerance they use for a SMD package.

Note that there is also rather big variations on pad sizes for wave vs
reflow soldering. Im not sure if this is the issue here tho.
