For example, buses are named D[0..7], resulting in D0, D1, ... D7. Differential buses have _P and _N appended, resulting in D0_P, D0_N, ... D7_P, D7_N. I can name individual nets with this format. However, when I try to make a bus and give it the name D[0..7]_P,D[0..7]_N, Eagle throws an error saying "Unexpected '_' ", meaning that the underscore is invalid. The work-around is to not use a bus, just a cluster of nets beside a thick blue line.
This format was taken from various places including , right from the horse's mouth. It says "To be able to define a differential pair bus, the bus naming convention will be extended to allow the ']' to be followed by "_P" or "_N" which results in the individual net/signal names ABC0_P, ABC1_P, ..., ABC31_P". Doesn't work.
Am I doing something wrong?
