How to rotate pin number direction

e14 Contributor

Hello,

I've created a new part for an 8pin dual comparator. The device has 2 symbols, one comparator with the power and ground pins and 1 with just the second comparator pins.

The power and ground pins have their numbers rotated 90 degrees on the schematic. I can't seem to figure out how to rotate just the pin numbers. This is how the symbol looks:

This is how it looks when used on a schematic. The pins numbers that need rotation are highlighted. Can anyone tell me where to fix that?

Thanks.

It's always such a joy to us software engineers when some random

stranger who's never seen, let alone understood, our code comes along

and tells us that something is "very easy". Oh yes. Such a joy.

I'm with you on that, Rob.  I learned decades ago to figure out how long

it will take, double it, and go to the next higher unit measurement -

weeks instead of days, or months instead of weeks.  Following that

policy, it seems that I usually finish the task ahead of schedule and

    under budget.

But to the point of the OP, if one were to have the ability to smash the

pin number and move it around, it pretty much defeats the purpose of

    having pin numbers.

The biggest problem with the pin numbers is that the component outline

usually runs right over them.  It's not really a problem - more of an

inconvenience that is easily solved with the DISPLAY command.

I say... leave it as is.  There's more important things that need attention.

This is a question that is asked from time to time.

    Currently Eagle cannot do it.
