Consistency errors

I reconnected the -12V source to R48 and reconnected the trace on the board. Warning is gone error remains.

I deleted the source on the schematic as directed then went to the board and deleted the trace. Consistency  error is still there and now I have a warning about unconnected pin on R48.

Hello Jim,

I hope you're doing well. If you can send me the files for review and

I'll correct them if you wish. In this case you would have to delete the

nets on both the schematic and the board to get them back to a normal state.

Here's how you could make sure you are not burying yourself deeper into

a hole. In the schematic delete the -12V net from R48 pin 2. Now go to

the board and delete the $$1 trace from pad two of resistor R48. Now run

the ERC. You should have 1 less error. Rinse and repeat to get of the rest.

The different values error can be corrected by running the

make-value-consistent.ulp in the editor that contains the values you

want on both the schematic and the board.

Remember to constantly run the ERC to make sure you are making progress

and not going backwards.

In fact, you also have Ohms in one and not in the other. Both need to be

EXACTLY the same.

So I don't think you've done it right. What the first 5 errors are saying

is that on the schematic the pins of those parts listed are connected  to

-12V whereas on the board they are not connected to that net. There may be

a different named net on those pads in the board, I can't tell. So you need

to totally remove the nets in the schematic that connect to those 5 pins.

In the board you need to go find the pads and make sure there are no nets

connecting to them either. If you do that these errors WILL go away. They

are still there because you still have mismatching things connected to

the,

The new 3 errors is because you have added values in the schematic and in

the board separately and you have a difference in the case i.e. k vs K.

No, what you wrote above as your first attempt is not what I said to do.

You removed and saved the connections then remade the connections before

opening the board, therefore the board is still inconsistent. You need to

get the schematic and board in sync BEFORE you remake the changes.

That was my first attempt.

I'm willing to try anything, and any variation, to solve this problem.

No, that's not what I said to do. What made you try those procedures? All

you needed to do was remove the -12V nets to the 5 components listed with

the board closed and then switch to the board (keeping the schematic open!)

and run ERC.
