Trying to add PLCC68 socket from the smd-special.lbr

Yes you need to make or use a schematic symbol with 68 pins and have

that connected to the pads for layout. Then add your connections in the

schematic.

Or you can start with just a board and no schematic. In this mode you

can just add pads and traces. You still need to assign the same net name

to the pads you want to connect.

It is best to learn how to make parts and use a schematic with the

correct port names on the pins in the schematic.
