Import dxf as boundary of ground plane polygon?

ogrecrusher
ogrecrusher over 9 years ago

I'm aware of how to import a solid pour from a dxf file, but is it possible to use a oddly shaped "circle" as a ground polygon which will automatically isolate from vias etc?

The shape has lots of odd partial arcs and tracing over it manually has been hard as it's not possible to edit the radius of curvature of an arc section after drawing it.

Thanks

    Hello Lucien,

I hope you're doing well. Try the import-dxf-1_6.ulp which is a

combination of two other ulps, one of them can import DXF files as a

polygon outline allowing you to make the appropriate copper pour.

You can find the ULP at www.cadsoft.io > Resources > User Language Programs.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia
