Eagle - export schematic as part

fires04
fires04 over 8 years ago

Hi, it is possible to, by pure eagle or with some scr/ulp export my schematic/board as part what can be used again in other schematic ? For example I got 2mm grid to 2.54mm grid conversion dock board.  And want it use in bigger project. So I need to  "lock" JP1 and JP2. Thanks

    Hi David

Have a look at this old posting

    http://www.eaglecentral.ca/index.php/mv/msg/52816/167859/777d1c48da1c81e1601daeed0d3f0204/#msg_167859

Using the ULP make-group2pac.ulp You can take your board and export/convert

parts of it to be a package in a library. Essentially the outline (which

becomes the tPlace) and the pads for the J1 and J2 parts

Then in the library you would create the symbol to appear on the schematic,

connect that to the package to make the device.
