Pin with no pad

I will try phrasing my earlier question about off board connections

differently.

 

Is there a way to define a device that has pins with no corresponding pads?

 

I have several panel switches that connect to a board through a multipin

connector. I want to show the connectivity of the switch to the

connector in the schematic, but I do not want pads to be generated for

the switch.

  • why not you use a bus for those wires?

     

    or place net names on the wires. look in library "frames"- maybe you could

    use something from there
