how to fracture a component

I've been using EAGLE for some time, and it's gone OK up to now.

I have a 100 pin IC for a new project.  Normally I would just let it sprawl over an E size sheet, but this client prefers B size for everything. I need to fracture it into several pieces.   I have seen EAGLE schematics done by others that manage this, but I don't see anything either on line or in the help files.

Look at how the ttl parts are done.

You have to make multiple symbols each with the subset of pins that need

to be grouped. Then you assemble the footprint and symbols into the device.
