Linux appearance and behavior.

Hi,

I'm running Eagle under Debian AMD 64.

There are few problems:

1) the control panel tree and the menu bar are unusable. As you see in

the image attached, they appears with items duplicated. I experience

this only with Eagle.

2) When in then schematic window, the press of the schematic/layout

switch doesn't bring up the other window. I need to click it in the task

bar.

3) The appearance of Eagle windows are quite different than all other

application. See for example the Open Office example on the right.

Should it be possible to tell Eagle to follow the current desktop theme?

(yeah, this one is really not a big deal!)

Thanks

Marco / iw2nzm

    Marco,

Can't help you with the behavior, but I can with the appearance.  I had

the same problem a while back and was able to fix it with the following

    script:

        #!/bin/bash

        rm -r ~/.qt

        exec /opt/eagle/bin/eagle $*

I placed this in ~/bin which is the first element in my PATH.

Eagle does something with qT - not sure what or why, but this solves it.

    Chuck,

thank you for your answer. I have no experience with linux systems, so I

hope you don't blame me if I ask you how to create a script.

I know it's a plain text file. I can save it in ~/bin with any name? It

    will be executed automatically?

    Thanks again

    Marco / iw2nzm
