genma_saotome

Dear Sir,

I'm newer for Eagle and I'm trying the old version 5.7.

I got a sch and brd file, and I want to re-use the part create already in sch and brd, How can I copy it to my own lib ?

Thanks!

See that both files are open. In .sch open an ULP called:

"export libraries" or maybe exp_project_lbr or similar.

That will create a library with the same project name and it contains

all devices used in your project.

Make the new library usable: USE path and name of that library, or

simply copy it into your library direction.

To put parts of any library into your own library open YOUR library

and in the CONTROL PANEL locate the library, expand it, locate the

device, right Click on it and in the opening dialog select "copy into

library". Save your library and you are done.

By the way you should upgrade to the latest Ver-5 eagle that is

Ver. 5.12 .Cost you nothing and your license is valid for that.

    Dear Joern

Thanks a lot for your reply. But on the sch file UI or BRD file UI, I cannot found the ULP call export Libraries or any similar.

    image

Or even the Eport command didn't have any similar function to export the lib ?

    Thanks!

Click onto the ULP-Button or enter 'run' in the command-line.

Then search for the ULP called 'exp-lbrs'...

PS. Just to be sure - in the ULP-selection browser be sure to use the

correct directory - even though IMHO the default one should already be

the correct one. In my case (I use a newer version of eagle), in the top

right of the window I can choose the path and it is set to 'xxx/eagle/

    examples/ulps/examples'.

    kind regards

    Bernhard

That is  an ULP (user languish program) and located in  the

    ULP-subdirectory created by eagle.

(Your pictures didn't make it to the news reader but on e14 I found them)

At the very top of your .sch (where the little squares are) you find one

    named ULP

(on your picture below the word "option")

that directly points to the ULP-subdirctory and opens it up, so one can

    select the file one wants.

You can check the ULP-dircetory by  yourself to look for the file

mentioned (in my old eagle-5.12 it is named "exp-project-lbr-ulp")

I'm using a win operating system (you didn't mention yours)

the eagle setup makes everything ready to go, but you could check in the

CONTROL PANEL / OPTIONS / DIRECTORIES that the path's to the eagle

    subdirectories are correctly set.

If you get eagle-5.12 then install it in a different directory and not

    over your existing version.
