Library part pad diameter being overridden to larger size when placed on board

Question

I've designed a library part for a 2 x 5 pin header with 50 mil centers, a drill of 20 mil and a pad diameter of 40 mil.

When the part is placed on the board however, the pad diameter is increased to a larger size (48 mil). The resulting pads violate the inter object spacing requirements.

I have experimented with the restring settings with no luck, what settings should I be looking to change to prevent this behaviour?

You are in the right area to correct the problem. The "minimum" parameter

in DRC > Restring will make pads "grow" to that minimum size.

If this does not fix your particular problem, I'm sure someone more

knowledgeable than I will be able to assist.
