Making cut-out in filled polygon

Assuming you are talking of  a signal polygon on the top or bottom layer

For  a polygon on layer 'Top', cut out a shape by placing the cutout shape

on layer ' tRestrict'

For  a polygon on layer 'Bottom',cut out a shape by placing the cutout shape

on layer 'bRestrict'

In addition you can try the following for inner layers:

Draw a polygon that has the same shape as the restricted area and

set its Rank = 1. All other polygons in this layer must have a higher

rank (for example 2). Thus all other polygons have to respect the

"restrict" polygon. Check the name of the polygon and draw a small

wire with the same name anywhere outside the polygon (it must not be

reachable for the poylgon). If the polygon has set the property

Orphans = Off, it can't be calculated and the area remains free.

Although the contour of the polygon is shown in the layout editor, it

is no problem at all for data output with the CAM processor. The

outline wires of the polygon do not appear in the manufacturing data.
