Newbie - need a simple SIP package

I'm new to Eagle and have a need to create a simple board.  I believe I can figure out how to do most of the layout but one of my parts is an uncommon part with a single inline package with standard hole spacing (same as a prototyping board.)  I've spent a lot of time reading instructions and viewing tutorials but am still not understanding a straightforward way to modify an existing package to do what I need.  My electronic part is a an RF receiver board about 2" long with 8 pins at various points and looks like this:

Ideally I could just grab an existing package and remove a few of the pins and be good to go.

Can anyone explain for me in clear steps how I might do this or whatever it takes to get this into Eagle?

Thanks!

There are many tutorials over library creation over Internet. Although if project is simple i would just use 2x 4 pinhead connectors. If you really want to make new element do not use an existing package for such simple task! If you really really want to modify existing package do as follows: open your library, in main eagle window find requested package in some other library and select "copy to library" from context menu. Now part is copied into your library and can be easily modified.

    Hope that will help.

Subsequent to posting my message above I remembered that the manual for version 5 states: "Select the Package editing mode via the icon in the action toolbar..." however I do not have this icon/button in my interface or at least I cannot find it.  This was my main problem before.

Thanks for your response, Maciej.  So you're saying use (2) 4-pinhead connectors?  Good idea, but how do I find such a part amongst the thousands of parts?  I search for 'pinhead' and get nothing in the ADD part interface.
