I don't know if that's a problem of the current installer exe file or of
your system - but you can easily install EAGLE without using the
installer itself. Simply rename the file to .zip and then unpack the
contents to your desired target directory. At least you can use it then,
even if the current installer maybe broken.

P.S. When posting screenshots, do not use JPEG format - instead use
PNG or GIF (eventually with reduced colors), the files are much smaller
and lack those compression artefacts.

I note that this is an Element14 post with an attachment. Looks as if
repairs are being made.

I downloaded and unziped into a folder Eagle on the Desktop.
I did not see any install or setup files or even an exe file.
Archive.pax.gz is the only large file in the folder. How do I open that in Windows XP?
Thanks

ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/eagle/program/5.11/eagle-win-5.11.0.exe
Is this the file you started with? or where did you get the file from?
It seems you may have downloaded a version for a different OS.

Try downloading it again.
Maybe there have been å problem with the link the minute you downloaded it?
The extracted file looks like the Mac version.
If that doesnt work, please post the full download link you use.
