I'm confused, should I be using the Wire command to connect components in the schematic or using the Net command. One tutorial says use wire, another says use net. I tried a small schematic using both and then converted the schematic to a board and all wire showed up. I guess I don't understand the difference. Any help would sure be appreciated because I think i am trying to make this more difficult that it should be.

Net is for the electrical connection of parts, Wire is intended to draw
graphical stuff like borders for a partial circuit etc. The name is
ambiguous, also the layer 91 used for it.
The behavior is different from Net, so try the following:
open a sch
add 3 resistors (see screenshot "wire-tool")
use the Wire-button & connect R1, R2 & R3.
You will see:
no auto-junction, no auto-end of the wire, only 2x click will end the wire.
Now use the Net-button & try the same (see screenshot "net-tool")
You will see:
auto-end of the net & auto-junction
