A disgusted problem —— the keyboard is often locked by EAGLE

Hi everyone

Several weeks ago, I changed the OS from Win7 to  Fedora. Fortunately, the EAGLE can be used under Fedora and its UI is highly similar to what it is in Win7. But when I began to work with it, a problem occurred. After I added a component into a scheme, and then canceled the adding by pressing ESC, as same as I usually did in Win7, the keyboard was locked. That means, I couldn't type anything and even couldn't close a dialogbox by pressing ESC anymore. I didn't know what happened at the time. So I planed to close the EAGLE. But to my surprise, when I tried to save  the scheme, I couldn't type filename. Another words, the keyboard was completely locked. I forced to close the EAGLE then opened it again. All were OK. But latter, due to some unknown reasons, the problem occurred again and again. I realized that it's not a accident. So I googled it but couldn't get any valuable information. Has anybody here ever met this problem? Is anybody here can give some advice to solve it?

Best regards.

    Best regards.

You write the keyboard was locked, but you could move/use the mouse.

Could you type something for example in a terminal window or in

    another application in this situation?

What when you are pressing escape in another situation in EAGLE,

let's say with the ROUTE command acive? Is the keyboard locked as

    well then?

FWIW I've had this problem, not Fedora but Open SuSE and it turned out

to be a faulty PS2 keyboard.  Oddly a USB keyboard worked just fine and

plugging in a USB keyboard worked even when the PS2 one didn't !

    Many thanks for Baron's advice.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for my computer. It is a DELL-101Z. And I don't know which kind of keyboard it is. But when the problem occures, I try to plug a external USB keyboard, the problem permanently is image

Furthermore, even I started a new work and only use the external USB keyboard, the problem occured as before.
