Does anyone know of a good, inexpensive board house?

Does anyone know of a good, inexpensive board house that takes Eagle Gerber

files?  I have a small 2 layer prototype board that I will stuff myself.

    Hi Steve,

I have used PCB Express for several years for small prototype quantities

and have always gotten excellent results. You can check out their prices

    at: http://www.pcbexpress.com/

They also have CAM files for Eagle that will produce the Gerber files

    they like to see at:

    http://www.pcbexpress.com/downloads/Sunstone-EagleCam.zip

I'm sure you could find a less expensive service. I only recommend this

one due to my past experience of more than 20 different prototype boards

    they have made for me.

I have not used their parent company, Sunstone Circuits. For production

quantities I use a contract manufacturing company that send me fully

assembled boards. They are Assembly Technologies, Inc. in Charlotte, NC.

    Hello all,

I work as a CAM Technician at the company that Ron refers to below.

Thank you for the referral, Ron!

Sunstone offers the same high-quality quick-turn board fab from both

PCBexpress.com and Sunstone.com. Both sites will work, but we often

receive feedback from our newer customers that the sunstone.com ordering

process is easier to use than pcbexpress.com.

Since we have very many EAGLE users, we also offer free Design Rule Decks

for EAGLE for our 2, 4, & 6 layer boards.  They are available on the

downloads page that Ron referred to and also on CadSoft Website on the

    Miscellaneous Download page

    http://www.cadsoft.de/cgi-bin/download.pl?page=/home/cadsoft/html_public/download.htm.en&dir=eagle/userfiles/misc&sort=time.

If you need anything further, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you Terri! PCB Express does a great job on all the boards you do for

me. I've always suspected there were real humans there. I've only seen the

    automated order entry. image

    Ron

    Hello Ron,

Yes, there are real humans here!  We now have 24/7 live customer support as

well.  You mentioned production work, if you're ever interested in trying us

for that, we now have an assembly partner, Screaming Circuits.  You can

review information about them at http://www.screamingcircuits.com/.  They

also have an informative & entertaining Blog.

    Take care,

    Terri

I've had good luck with PCBFabexpress for both 2 and 4 layer boards.

I've been a bit disappointed with how the silk-screen turned out, though

    (thin and a bit uneven).

We use this for protos, so far pretty good, they do 5mil/5mil. Excelent quality and prices are just about untouchable. Their

location is in Canada but their fab is in china.
