Trying to create a circular shaped PCB

tomshong

Hi all,

I am a newbie to EagleCad. I am using 6.2.0 Lite version.

I am trying to build a PCB around a CR-2325 battery holder similar to one shown in the link.

http://shop.vetcosurplus.com/catalog/images/PH-BH2038-1.jpg

Here are the problems I got

  1. How do I place the component on the layout such that the part will go on the ‘bottom’ layer of the PCB?
  2. How do I create a circular PCB? I’d like to make my PCB slightly bigger but about the same shape as the battery holder shown.

    Mirror the component.

bigger but about the same shape as the battery holder shown.

Delete the rectangular board outline from the Dimension layer and

    replace it with a circle.

    Enjoy,

        - Chuck

I might add that if you make the line width of the circle zero, it will

fill in, which is NOT what you want.  Instead, make the line width some

arbitrarily small value, like 1 mil, or 0.1mm.
