How to use a .scr file?

gussabina
gussabina over 13 years ago

Hi:

I'm using a Samtec connector and downloaded a file from their web site in order to use the part in my Eagle design.

I realized they are not provided a .lbr (library) file as I would expect. Instead, they provide a .scr file. How to use this file in order to get the part for my design?

Thanks Gus

Open a (new) library where you want to import that part and go

"Data/execute script" and navigate to the .scr file. The part will then

be imported to the open library.

Joem, could you be more specific as to where you run the command "Data/excute script" please.

    Thank you,

What is not clear in saying:

"Open a (new) library where you want to import that part"

    IN the library you

go to "Data/execute script" and navigate to the .scr file. The part will

then be imported to the open library.

The whole thing is done from the library editor.

The part where you add "in the library" and the part where you state "The whole thing is done from the library editor" clears it up.

We are all new at some point in using Eagle.

    Hi Bob,

I don't think Joern meant to offend. I've been on the forum long enough

to know that he's generally no like that. Sometimes things are lost in

    translation.

Please feel free to always ask questions.

    Best Regards,
