Difference entre Schematics et Board

Hi,

 

I Am new user of eagle. for my first project, I have differences between my schematic and the board. for example, I have a net for a pin of connector not indiqued in the board. Also, I have two pin connected in the board witch not connected in schematic !...

Is it possible to control nets beetween both ?

    Hi Gérald,

    that's not how it should be. Both files should be sychronised.

     

    Having a wire on the board (but not the Sch.) is the easy one to explain.

    You've added a "wire" on the board. That's a beginners trap as Eagle does not treat a "Wire" drawn on the board as part of the circuit. All connections must be made on the scematic first.

     

    If you have wire on the schematic that does not appear on the board, most likely it is not connected at one end.

    Try moving the sympol at each end of the wire (schematic) and see if the wire moves with it. This will show if the wire is connected.

     

    Hint: never edit ether a schematic or board when the pair isn't open. You'll loose synchronisation and it can be traumatic making things good again.

    Another common problem is that the grid on the schematic is not 0.1".

    All the library parts are laid out on a 0.1" grid.  While the grid can

    be anything you need on the board, the schematic MUST used a 0.1" grid.

    This assures that connections between nets and pins are made.

     

    If you move a component on the schematic and it does not drag the net

    with it, the net is not connected.

     

    To correct this, first set the grid to 0.1 inches.  Then use Ctrl-Click

    to grab the end of the net and drop it somewhere close the pin.  And

    finally, use Ctrl-Click to move the component symbol and drop it such

    that the end of the pin is on top of the end of the net.  Try to move

    the component again and see if the net drags with it.

     

    The significance of Ctrl-Click is that it moves the net/symbol onto the

    current grid.

    Hi ian,

     

    It's OK, I found errors with you're explanations. As you tell, I have wire not connected and I sees it when I move component. I have also another error with a package I do.

    My problem's are resolved
