Can not rename Polygon

Seems basic, but I'm having a hard time with this.

 

I create a polygon on the bottom layer of my board. When I click properties

the Signal name is N$2.  When I try to rename signal by replacing N$2 with

AGND a message says AGND already exists and that I need to use the NAME

command to combine the signals.  The command "NAME N$2 AGND" results in "N$2

cannot be found" or doesn't exist or something.

 

Any thoughts?

  • I've complain to Cadsoft about Info dialog on one component, but - as

    usual - they don't listen....

    If the Name text bos is editable, Eagle should permit user to set any name

    for that net/component.

     

    But this is not happening: you can't rename a net to a net that allready

    exist  in schematic (you can't connect the net you clicked "Info" with the

    an other net, usig THIS EDITABLE NAME TEXT BOX). You should use Rename

    button + click on the N$2 net, and then set the name to AGND
