Issues with 6.5 and MacOS Mavericks

Are there configuration work arounds for the following issues ? Configuration is the 6.5.0 version under MacOS 10.9.1

1. The directories in Options/directories appear to be ignored and open always dumps me in the Documents folder. It is possible that Mavericks screws up environment variables, so I tried a fully specified path with no luck. Is there an official way to make this work again ?

2. When adding components the mouse stops dragging the component after the add command is selected. This can be worked around by moving the window slightly and then the component tracks on the schematic or layout field correctly. This is new behavior with Mavericks, so it is likely that Apple in their wonderful competence changed something. Does a work around exist yet ?

Both of these are not show stoppers, but they do get annoying after awhile and probably should be looked at by whomever is doing Cadsoft's Mac support

I have seen odd mouse behavior as well. Component can't be dragged,

lines don't draw with mouse movement, etc. To fix it I do a "Redraw"

and that brings it back to normal operation. Also seems to be a really

long delay after some operations before the mouse will respond.

I saw more bad behavior with the last layout. Eagle crashed 3 times

during the layout. This is a little vague, but it seemed to crash if

you do something that takes time, like select a group and operate on it

(move, delete, etc). If you move the mouse and click on something

before it is complete (this is obviously done quickly, but sometimes

eagle can take a second or two to complete an operation) it sometimes

crashes. After I made sure operations were complete before moving the

mouse there were no more crashes. I have an i7 mac book pro with 8 megs

    of RAM running mavericks.
