Making a device, packages are not selectable

Question

I am trying to create a new library part. In the final steps of the process, combining the symbol with the package, I am unable to select the package from the list. Its on the list, but is a lighter gray color and not selectable.

Can any instructors offer a suggestion on getting over this hurdle?

I have noticed this in other library's I didn't create, also

Hi Daniel, This implies that there are more pins in the symbol than pads in the package. Double check your symbol and make sure that you don't accidentally have two pins on top of each other. hth, Jorge Garcia
