Draw lines on Eagle Schematic

Using Eagle 6.5, is there is a way to draw a line on the schematic without said line being a wire?

Thanks.

Oddly enough the wire command will make a line (The net command makes

    wires).

Just be sure that it does not snap to any components.

So even though it has a net name, it's not going to give an error anywhere so long as it doesn't snap to any pins?

If you draw a wire on the NET layer you have created a net. You probably

    don't want that.

If you want a plain old drawing wire, place a wire on a layer like SYMBOL

or INFO or create your own layer.(User defined layer)

Ah yes, there we go.  I tried to move the wire from the nets layer to another layer but it wouldn't let me.  If I start that way, it works.  Thanks.

Yes, there are restrictions on layer swapping because it's not supposed

to be an operation that affects the fundamental design. So on the board

you can swap between copper layers but not between copper and

non-copper. Similarly the schematic editor won't let you swap a line

between "NET" and anything else because that would change the meaning.
