nodes dots in schematic

Question

Using Eagle for the first time. Can anyone tell me why there are no node dots when I join a line to component or join two components together?

Maybe you use wires/lines instead of NETS.

Also check a hook on options/settings...something like "set junctions

automatic".

Sorry I can't give you the exact name since I don't use the english

Hi Darryl, Node dots are only needed where wires cross to indicate that the two wires are connected. The Junction tool allows you to add node dots wherever they are needed. Doug

As Joern indicated - make sure you are drawing your schematic with the "net" tool (not the "wire" tool). That is NOT intuitively obvious that "wire" doesn't actually wire things. Also, another way of shooting yourself in the foot - do NOT change the grid on the schematic or you will find parts not connecting correctly.
