Does anyone know how to generate CAD 3D files (like STEP files or something)
from a board layout?
I have been using Eagle 3D, and it works great(!), but it only generates POV
files that I cannot use in our Pro/Engineer mechanics CAD system.

Hi,
you see what you get 
Draw your board-outline on layer 50. The ulp
needs this to convert it to a idf/idb file. This files you can read by a
cad-software like solid works ....
