Hello Steve, maybe the following procedure helps: Unload/close all projects Restart eagle Create a new board Open the "Autorouter Setup" and save the settings to a file ("Save as...") Open your old project…

    Hello Steve,

maybe there is a wrong setting in your design rules. You can open the "design rules" dialog within the board editor. Choose "edit" => "design rules". In the "Layers" tab the "Setup" value for a double sided layout should be "(1*16)".

    Hello Steve,

in my opinion the free version is limited to two layers. For that reason you should be able to create a double sided board.

Probably I could trace your error.

There might be a wrong setting in your autorouter setup. Select "Tool" => "Autorouter..." in the menu of the board editor.

In the free version you are only allowed to set the prefered direction for the "Top" and "Bottom" Layer.

    Best regards

    Guido

    Hello Steve,

    maybe the following procedure helps:

    1. Unload/close all projects
    2. Restart eagle
    3. Create a new board
    4. Open the "Autorouter Setup" and save the settings to a file ("Save as...")
    5. Open your old project an load the stored settings ("Load...).
