Traces showing over holes

You did not say which version of Eagle you are now using.

You did not say how you arrived at the image you posted .

On v6.6 or v7.1 I don't see that issue when I print to a pdf

The version is 6.6.0.

I do this:

1) set palette white; ra

2) display none bottom pad via; ra

3) File >> Export >> Image (600 dpi, Monochrome) >> Ok

when I export a layout as an image I get the same behaviour as you described in your first post (Eagle 6.6.5 & 6.6.0). Exporting a layout as an image is not the best way for pcb production in my opinion. Use the CAM-processor to export your layout. I know the CAM processor is not able to create images as raster graphics (*.png) but you can create a vector graphics in postscript (*.ps) format. This is anyway much better. Your local print house should be able to handle this format. Use ghostscript (http://ghostscript.com/) and ghostview (http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/index.htm) to show *.ps-files on your computer.

Actually it is (was) a great and easy way of creating images for toner transfer technique. I guess I'll check those things out, oh well. Thanks!

Hello,

it's not that complicated. Load your project and click on the

CAM-Processor symbol in the tool bar of the board editor. In the

CAM-Processor dialog click "File" => "Open" => "Job..." and load a cam

job file (for example the one I've attached here). After that click on

the "start job" button. After that you will find two postscript files in

your project folder. The postscript file for the component side is named

"*.cmp.ps", the postscript file for solder side is named "*.sol.ps".

You can open these files with ghostview and convert them to raster

graphic files ("File" => "Convert..."). But believe me, when you ever

had worked with the vector graphics format you won't use the raster

graphics format for your pcb layouts anymore.
